“A Map of Lewis and Clark’s Track 1804, 5&6”

This Lewis and Clark map was a mere thought in 2001. Nobody had yet to add the United States to this original document. In brief, the first step was taken and four years later it was done. With all the fuss and national interest to stamps and postmarks each limited edition evolved into a full framed finished piece with custom box. Thank you to the US Post Offices in Astoria, Oregon, Chinook and Longbeach, Washington. This map was copyrighted then documented along with the Indian Nations Map just before being hung in the Library of Congress, June 2004. A copy of this letter along with all other documentation is also included. Each signed and numbered limited edition “States” map has first day stamps and post marks of Oregon and Washington. All pieces are glassless and sealed with non-yellowing lacquers. Limited to 400 only!

On October 3,2005, prior to Lewis and Clarks' Bicentennial "A Series of Unfortunate Events" occurred.
First, the replica of Fort Clatsop that was built in the 1950's was being destroyed by fire. Second, after an all summer "No Burn" had been lifted, a 911 operators response to an emergency call that evening about a glow in the forest was responded to as "It's Only Fog". And third that after weeks of investigations by federal, state and park officials, a burning fireplace ember was the conclusion
